Jeep has announced the updates to the 2019 Jeep Renegade. We got a preview of the 2019 Renegade a few months ago when the European version debuted, but now we’re getting all the details about the updated US-spec Renegade.

On the outside the 2019 Jeep Renegade has received a small facelift with a restyled front fascia and new taillights. At the front the fog lights have been redesigned, there are new LED headlights and the grille surround has been tweaked. The 2019 Renegade also gets new wheel options and new 19-inch aluminum Granite Crystal-painted wheels are now optional on Latitude and Limited models. On the inside the 2019 Renegade has new instrument cluster graphics.

The bigger news is that the 2019 Renegade now offers a 1.3L engine that replaces the 1.4L. The turbocharged 1.3L engine generates 177 horsepower and 200 lb.-ft. of torque and it’s mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission. The 2.4L four-cylinder engine is still standard on the Sport and Latitude models.

On the safety front, adaptive cruise control, ParkSense Parallel/Perpendicular Park Assist Plus and front park sensors are now available as part of the Advanced Tech Group package. Lastly the 2019 Renegade is available in thee new colors: Bikini, Slate Blue and Sting Grey.
