Jeep just made the Wrangler even more capable with the introduction of the new Xtreme Recon off-road package. The package aims to help the Wrangler beat its newest rival, the Bronco, with 35-inch tires, a lift kit and a 100:1 crawl ratio.

2021 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 with Xtreme Recon package

The Jeep Wrangler Rubicon already comes with a 84.2:1 crawl ratio, but now with the 100:1 crawl ratio, it beats the Bronco with its 94.7:1 ratio. The higher crawl ratio is ideal for helping you slowly climb over obstacles.

To achieve the 100:1 crawl ratio, the Xtreme Recon is available with a 4.88:1 axle ratio, but the standard upgrade with its 4.56:1 axle ratio gives it a crawl ratio of 93.6:1. The 4.88:1 axle ratio will be available for ordering later in 2021.

The package also adds 17-inch by 8-inch beadlock capable wheels that are wrapped in 35-inch tires and a 1.5-inch suspension lift with unique shocks. The upgrades raise the ground clearance to 12.9-inches. The approach angle is now 37.2 degrees, the breakover angle comes in at 26.7 degrees and the departure angle is at 40.4 degrees. With the package, the water fording increases to 33.6 inches.
