Is Hyundai Working on a Toyota Prius Rival?

Hyundai’s current hybrid lineup only consists of the Hyundai Sonata, which itself isn’t set to be replaced until the 2016 model year, but is Hyundai planning on expanding its hybrid lineup?

Hyundai’s current hybrid lineup only consists of the Hyundai Sonata, which itself isn’t set to be replaced until the 2016 model year, but is Hyundai planning on expanding its hybrid lineup?
Spy photographers have recently caught several Elantra GT mules testing what looks like a new hybrid powertrain. AutoGuide is reporting that four mules were recently spied testing with different body modifications, which provides some proof that a new hybrid model is in the works, instead of an Elantra hybrid.

There’s also some proof that Hyundai may also be working on two versions of a new hybrid model, with one set to compete with the standard Toyota Prius, while a larger one will go head to head with the larger Prius V.

Not much else is known, but back in 2010 Hyundai did preview a Prius fighter with the Blue-Will concept.
