Infiniti has unveiled the QX Sport Inspiration concept, which is a preview of the automaker’s new midsize SUV. Inspired by Infiniti’s “Powerful Elegance” design philosophy, the sculpted exterior of the concept is an early look at what the next QX70 will look like.
The QX Sport Inspiration is a statement of intent from Infiniti, showcasing a daring design philosophy and a demonstration of our capabilities in the mid-size SUV segment,” Infiniti President, Roland Krueger stated.

The QX Sport Inspiration takes many of the styling cues that we’ve seen on models. The front of the concept gets the double-arch grille and “human eye” headlights ad as you move to the rear, the concept features flowing, sculpted lines. The profile also gets a new interpretation of Infiniti’s crescent-cut pillar, which now has a more angular look. At the rear the QX Sport Inspiration gets blade-shaped taillights.
“The QX Sport Inspiration expresses power and purpose through what we describe as its ‘proportional clarity,’ with an elegance that is uniquely Infiniti,” Alfonso Albaisa, Infiniti Executive Design Director. “The exterior design will appeal to an artistic sensibility. It has a more flowing, natural aesthetic than that evident in traditional premium SUVs.”
