Infiniti has unveiled the Q80 Inspiration Concept ahead of its debut next month at the Paris Motor Show. According to Infiniti, the Q80 Inspiration is “Infiniti’s vision of category-breaking, supreme luxurious driving – a top-of-the-line, four-seat fastback that rises above the crowd.”

What that also means is that the Q80 Inspiration is a preview of Infiniti’s upcoming flagship that will compete with models like the Mercedes-Benz S-Class and BMW 7 Series. Infiniti has only released this single photo, but we can see the design of the Q80 Inspiration takes some styling cues from the existing Infiniti lineup, but then looks more sculpted with its teardrop passenger greenhouse.

“After showing Q30 Concept and Q50 Eau Rouge, Infiniti is eager to show the upper range of our portfolio expansion,” said Infiniti Executive Design Director, Alfonso Albaisa. “In Q80 Inspiration, we wanted to capture that unforgettable feeling when you experience something important, something beautiful, something magnetic for the first time.”

Infiniti hasn’t revealed the Q80 Inspiration’s interior, but did reveal that carbon fiber, aluminum and leather surround those inside in spacious “1 + 1 + 1 + 1” seating. At 198.9 inches with a long wheelbase of 122.2 in, there should be plenty of room for the four passengers.

Stay tuned for all the info when the Q80 Inspiration debuts on October 2.
