Hyundai is recalling about 65,000 2008 Elantras to fix a problem with the fuel pump.

The recall involves Elantras equipped with the 2.0L Beta engine to replace the fuel pump. Gasoline with ethanol added produces a buildup of film on the units’ electrical contacts, which will cause the car to hesitate during starting or while driving.

At this point the recall is only voluntary and no injuries have been reported.

The Elantra is Hyundai’s second best selling vehicle in the US after the Sonata.
