Currently the Hyundai Elantra is available in sedan, coupe and GT bodystyles, but for the 2015 model year, one of them is gone. Hyundai has confirmed that the Elantra coupe will disappear after the current model year.
With styling that closely mirrored the more versatile sedan, the Elantra Coupe never really stoof out compared to other coupes like the Honda Civic and Scion tC. Hyundai also knew this and Hyundai spokesman Jim Trainor even called it a “niche vehicle.” Going forward Hyundai plans to focus its attention on the sedan and GT models.

Next year an all-new Elantra sedan is going to arrive. Hyundai CEO Dave Zuchowski recently stated about the styling of the 2016 Elantra, “The easiest way to describe that without going into any detail is that it looks more Audiesque, to me it looks more European.”
