Hyundai ix25 Sub-Compact Crossover Heads to the U.S. in 2017

Hyundai has been quiet about its plans to enter the small crossover segment, but now it’s being reported that Hyundai is going to introduce a version of the ix25 in the U.S. in 2017.

The small crossover segment is growing rapidly with the addition of new models like the Jeep Renegade, Chevy Trax and Honda HR-V. Hyundai has been quiet about its plans to enter the segment, but now it’s being reported that Hyundai is going to introduce a version of the ix25 small crossover in the U.S. in 2017.
The ix25 was originally designed for the Chinese market, but according to sources Hyundai is preparing a version for both Europe and the U.S. The ix25 shares its platform with the Kia Soul.

Before a version of the ix25 arrives in 2017, Hyundai will introduce an all-new 2016 Tucson. The 2016 Tucson is expected to move up market a bit in terms of styling and refinement, although it will reportedly be about the same size as today’s model.
