Last summer it was discovered that Honda had trademarked the Trailsport name with the USPTO. Honda hasn’t mentioned anything about it, but it has been pushing the more ruggedness of its SUVs, so it was speculated that the Trailsport” name would be used for a more adventure-ready version of its SUVs, like the Passport.
Now Honda has trademarked the “Trailsport” logo. The discovery was found by a member of the Civic 11 forum. The trademark doesn’t provide too much info, since it just sates that it will be used for “Land vehicles, namely, sport utility vehicles, automobiles, trucks, and structural parts for the foregoing”.
For now we just have to wait and see if the Trailsport name will be used for a trim level or special edition version of Honda’s SUV lineup.
