Honda has announced that production of the all-new 2016 Civic sedan has kicked off at its plant in Alliston, Ontario.

Honda has announced that production of the all-new 2016 Civic sedan has kicked off at its plant in Alliston, Ontario. The completely revamped Civic sedan will arrive in showrooms next month with a starting price set at $19,475.

The 10th generation Civic is dramatically different than the outgoing model and buyers can even choose a new turbocharged engine. The base Civic is powered 158-hp 2.0L four-cylinder engine, while the 1.5L turbo packs 174-hp. One of the best parts is that even with a turbocharged engine and 174-hp, the Civic turbo is rated at 31/42 mpg.

The Civic sedan is the first of the new 10th-generation Civic models that will include a sedan, coupe, Si models, a 5-door hatchback and the first-ever Civic Type-R model.
