The Civic Type R is powered by an all-new 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder engine that generates 306 horsepower, which gives the hot hatch a top speed of 167 mph. The output is a significant jump from the old Civic Type R that only generated just shy of 200 horsepower.
It’s expected that the Civic Type R will finally be offered in the U.S. The Type R would be Honda’s answer to the Ford Focus RS and VW Golf R.
