BMW is going to reveal the next-generation BMW M5 tomorrow, but we now have a bunch of leaked photos of the 2018 M5 a day early. The 2018 BMW M5 leak comes to us from YouTube, which were then captured by BMW Blog and Bimmerpost.
The 2018 M5 won’t get an exterior that is too far off from the standard 5 Series, but you’ll notice some aggressive design details, like the front and rear bumpers and a small rear spoiler. At the front, the 2018 M5 has large air intakes to let you know that this isn’t just your regular 5 Series. The M5’s profile looks more aggressive with larger wheel arches and bigger alloy wheels. At the rear the bumper houses a quad exhaust system.
Inside the interior is pretty much the same as a regular 5 Series with the exception of sportier seats and a new gear shifter.
Could the 2018 M5 become the “quickest four-door sedan in the world”? A rumor on F10 Forums suggests that the M5’s 4.4L biturbo engine could have 680 horsepower, giving the sedan a 0-60 mph time of only 2.9 seconds and a top speed of 230 mph! Insane! We’ll have to wait until tomorrow to see if that rumor is indeed true.
For now enjoy the photos.
