GMC has announced that the 2022 Hummer EV is ready to start its winter testing, which is the next step in the development of the electric truck.

GMC has also released some teasers of the Hummer EV at GM’s Milford Proving Grounds and now it’s headed to northern Michigan to run through the “grueling winter testing process.”

The first version to arrive will be the GMC Hummer EV Edition 1 with three electric motors that generate a combined 1,000 horsepower. A 24-module Ultium battery pack will give the truck a driving range of at least 350 miles.

Production of the Edition 1 kicks off late next year and it’s priced at $112,595. In fall 2022 the regular top version will arrive starting at $99,995. In spring 2023, the mid-level trim will arrive with three motors without torque vectoring and it’s priced at $89,995. The base two-motor Hummer EV will arrive in spring 2024 starting at $79,995.
