Nissan has unveiled the updated 2021 Nissan Armada, which has received updated styling, an upgraded interior and more tech features.
Starting on the outside, the 2021 Armada now looks more modern with redesigned grille, hood, front fenders, bumpers, headlights and taillights. The biggest change you’ll notice is at the front where the new Armada has a more squared and chiseled look.
There’s also a new Midnight Edition which adds black exterior logos, black painted mirrors, black painted roof rails, rear LED taillights with black paint finisher, black painted grille, and black painted front and rear skid plates.
Inside the interior looks more up to date with its new 12.3-inch display screen. There’s also wireless Apple CarPlay, although users still have to plug in their smartphone to connect to Android Auto. Wireless charging is available. In front of the driver’s also a new 7-inch digital display in the gauge cluster and the Platinum trim level gets a digital rear view mirror.
Under the hood the Armada is powered by a 5.6-liter V8 with 400 horsepower and 413 pound-feet of torque that’s mated to a 7-speed automatic transmission. The Armada can tow up to 8,500 pounds and now has a standard integrated Trailer Brake Controller with tow hitch receiver on SV, SL and Platinum grades. Trailer Sway Control is standard on SL and Platinum grades.
On the safety front, the Armada comes standard with Nissan Safety Shield 360, which includes Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Blind Spot Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Lane Departure Warning, High Beam Assist and Rear Automatic Braking.
The 2021 Nissan Armada will arrive in January.
