GM has officially trademarked the name “Crossvolt.” It’s already known that GM plans on releasing a MPV or crossover based on the Chevy Volt, so this could be the official name.

GM unveiled the Chevy Volt MPV5 concept at the Beijing Motor Show last year. The Volt MPV5 concept was powered by the same powertrain as the Volt, a 16 kw lithium-ion battery pack and a 1.4L engine. When its fully charged, the Volt MPV5 concept can travel up to 32 miles on battery power alone and a full 300 miles with the engine running.
