The 2022 Genesis G80 is getting a new addition to the lineup, the G80 Sport. Genesis has unveiled the new Sport model, which will arrive in the third quarter of this year.
The G80 Sport comes in an exclusive Cavendish Red paint and it gets redesigned bumpers that give it a slightly more aggressive look. Genesis has also added more chrome trim and the grille now has a dark glossy chrome finish. The dark glossy chrome trim has also been applied to the side moldings and the G80 Sport also rides on exclusive 20-inch dark sputtering alloy wheels.
Inside there are three color options, including Sevilla Red leather. The G80 Sport also gets a unique three-spoke steering wheel and the dashboard garnish comes in three different designs including Sport-exclusive real aluminum, real carbon, and a diamond-patterned hybrid weaving pattern.
Genesis hasn’t announced the full tech specs for the 2022 G80 Sport, but it will get rear-wheel steering to maximize stability. We also see a “4WD” badge on the rear which means that it has all-wheel drive. It’s expected that the G80 Sport will be powered by the twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 with 375 horsepower and 391 pound-feet of torque.
