Genesis has already given us a look at the Genesis GV60 electric crossover, which shares its platform with the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Kia EV6. Now Genesis has released the specs for the GV60, which is available in single- and dual-motor versions with rear or all-wheel drive.
The standard single-more version with rear-wheel drive has 225 horsepower and 475 pound-feet of torque, while the addition of the second motor gives it all-wheel drive and 314 hp and 446 lb-ft. The Performance model only comes with all-wheel drive and has 429 hp and 446 lb-ft. in Sports Mode, but a cool Boost Mode increases the power to 483 hp and 516 lb-ft.
The Boost Mode only lasts for up to 10 seconds once you activate it using a button on the steering wheel. It gives the GV60 a 0-62 mph time of four seconds, but that is slower than the Kia EV6 GT, which can do it in 3.5 seconds.
Genesis has also revealed that the GV60 has a Drift Mode that “provides athletic driving by optimizing distribution of the driving power and braking system.”
In South Korea, the GV60 will be powered by a 77.4-kWh battery pack that supports fast charging up to 350 kW. This means that it only takes 18 minutes to charge it from 10 percent to 80 percent. We still have to wait for the US specs and official EPA estimates, but in its home market, the GV60 has up to 280 miles of range for the standard rear-wheel drive version. The standard all-wheel drive version has a 249 mile range, while the Performance model has a 229 mile range.
