A new Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 is on the horizon and now we have our best preview yet of the beast. Ford officially announced plans to introduce the Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 back in January, when it also confirmed that it will over 700 horsepower.
Luckily 2018 is about half way over, so we’re getting closer to the 2019 debut of the Ford Mustang Shelby GT500, but while we wait we can stare at this photo of the coupe taken from above. The photo provides an early look at its vented hood, large rear spoiler and body stripes.
Ford hasn’t revealed anything else about the Mustang Shelby GT500, but we do know that it will be powered by a supercharged V8. It’s expected that the Mustang Shelby GT500 will get the same 5.2L V8 as the GT350, but the new supercharger will push the output beyond 700 horsepower.
