It’s the end of the road for the Ford Fusion (sedan) and Lincoln MKZ, since production is scheduled to end on July 21.

Ford Authority has received the tip that production of both sedans will end in July at Ford’s Hermosillo plant in Sonora, Mexico. The plant is now going to be tasked with building the Ford Bronco Sport and maybe even the upcoming Ford Maverick small truck.

While the MKZ is dead, there’s a chance that the Fusion name will live on with a new high riding wagon dubbed the Fusion Active. It’s being reported that the Fusion Active will be introduced for the 2022 model year as a rival to the Subaru Outback.
