The 2022 Ford Maverick looks like it’s off to a great start, since it’s being reported that Ford has already received over 100,000 reservations for the small truck. The Maverick is also seeing significant demand from markets in California.

Bloomberg is reporting that interest in the Maverick is very high. “This really has exceeded our expectations,” Todd Eckert, Ford’s truck marketing manager, stated. “This is the initial step with reservations. But we think it bodes extremely well.”

The Maverick is attracting buyers, since it starts at only $21,490 and the hybrid version gets up to 40 mpg. It makes a compelling case for entry-level buyers that could be in the market for a compact sedan or small SUV. Ford says that the most reservations are coming from Los Angeles, while San Francisco comes in third, with Orlando coming in second.
