Ford has confirmed that the next-generation 2020 Ford Explorer will be sold in China and manufactured by Changan Ford. To coincide with the announcement at the Beijing Motor Show, Ford also released a teaser of the all-new Explorer.

The 2020 Ford Explorer teaser doesn’t reveal too much, since the SUV is covered with a sheet. This is actually the second teaser of the next-generation Explorer, since Ford recently teased the new Explorer with the announcement of a new Explorer ST that will replace the Explorer Sport.

The Explorer ST is expected to get its power from a twin-turbocharged 3.0L V6 with around 400 horsepower. A plug-in hybrid version of the next Explorer is also expected, but the bigger news is that the next-generation Explorer will switch to a rear-wheel drive platform that it will share with the new Lincoln Aviator.
