Ford has released a few more specs for the 2019 Ford Ranger, which is going to enter production by the end of the year. We already knew that the 2019 Ford Ranger will be powered by a turbocharged 2.3L four-cylinder, but now Ford has announced that it will generate 270 horsepower and 310 lb-ft. of torque.

The 2.3L four-cylinder engine is mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission. Plus the 2019 Ford Ranger also can tow up to 7,500 pounds, which is more than any of its gas-powered rivals. “Think of Ranger as the biggest and most capable backpack for your gear,” says Rick Bolt, Ford Ranger chief engineer. “With 1,860 pounds of maximum payload, Ranger can haul nearly a ton of gear to enable your next adventure.”

The 2019 Ford Ranger starts at $25,395 and it will be offered in XL, XLT and Lariat trim levels.
