It’s being reported that Ford is going to build a new small Lincoln SUV at the Louisville Assembly plant next year. Ford is finally focusing on Lincoln now that it is no longer being overshadowed by Volvo, Land Rover and Jaguar.

The new small SUV would be built alongside the Ford Escape and would be smaller than the current Lincoln MKX. It would mainly compete with the Lexus RX, which currently leads the small luxury SUV segment.

An announcement is expected next month.
