Demand for the Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigator continues to increase, so Ford has announced that it will increase production of both SUVs by 20 percent starting this summer.

Last year sales of the Expedition increased by 35 percent, while demand for the Navigator increased by a whopping 70 percent in 2018. To keep up with the demand, Ford will add 550 new jobs at its Kentucky Truck Plant in Louisville.

“Kentucky Truck Plant is home to two of Ford and Lincoln’s most successful vehicles,” said John Savona, Ford vice president, North American manufacturing. “After seeing a continued increase in customer demand for Expedition and Navigator, we are boosting production for a second time to meet it.”
