Ford’s product development chief Derrick Kuzak recently sat down with the Automotive News and revealed that Ford may add a new smaller vehicle to the Lincoln lineup.
“We do think that there is room for a smaller car in the Lincoln brand,” Kuzak said
Kuzak did not provide any of the details of the new smaller vehicle so it is not known what this new smaller vehicle may be. It’s rumored that it could be a Lincoln version of the next Ford Escape when Ford switches the Escape to the same global platform as the European Ford Kuga (pictured above). But then again it could be a compact sedan that is smaller than the MKZ sedan although that may get in the way of Mercury, which is supposed to start focusing on small, premium cars.
