Based on the Fiesta’s platform, the EcoSport is sold in several countries, like China, India and markets in Africa. According to Automotive News, Ford has decided to bring it to the U.S. since the segment is expected to grow. It’s expected that the EcoSport will arrive in 2016 or 2017. It will also likely get a different name, since EcoSport is so close to Ford’s EcoSport-branded turbo engines.
