The first 2019 Ford Mustang Bullitt has crossed the auction block with the winning bid coming in at a nice $300,000. That’s only a fraction of the amount that the first 2019 Corvette ZR1 got at the same auction, but either way the Mustang Bullitt raised a nice donation for the Boys Republic.
Steve McQueen’s son, Chad joined the very first 2019 Mustang Bullitt (Vin 001) on stage at the Barrett-Jackson auction. 100 percent of the proceeds from the auction will go directly to Boys Republic, a California-based school and treatment community for troubled youngsters. Steve McQueen actually attended the school as well.
The 2019 Mustang Bullitt is powered by a 5.0-liter V8 with at least 475 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque. The V8 is mated to a six-speed manual transmission. Ford says it has an estimated top speed of 163 mph. Ford has yet to announce the pricing for the 2019 Mustang Bullitt, but it will arrive this summer.
