Fiat has announced that the Fiat version of the new Mazda MX-5 Miata will be called the 124 Spider. The Fiat 124 Spider will borrow its chassis from the 2016 MX-5 Miata, but its styling will be a bit more retro with influences from the Fiat 124s from the 1960s.
The Fiat 124 will weigh around 2,200 pounds and will be offered with a range of engines, including a 1.4L turbocharged four-cylinder engine. An Abarth version is also expected with around 200 horsepower, larger brakes and a sportier suspension.
