Last week the first US-market Ferrari 458 Italia was auctioned off at a charity event for $530,000 in which the proceeds went to help relief efforts in Haiti. Transformers director Michael Bay was at the event where he acknowledged that the Ferrari 458 Italia would become the newest Autobot to join Transformers in the Transformers 3.
The Ferrari 458 Italia is powered by a 4.5L V8 that puts out 570-hp and 398 lb-ft. of torque. It’s mated to a dual-clutch seven-speed transmission and reaches 0-62 mph in 3.4 seconds with a top speed of 202 mph.
