Dodge has announced that the 2019 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat is getting a new hood. The updated 2019 Challenger SRT Hellcat will debut this summer with a new dual-snorkel hood that Dodge says pays homage to its muscle cars from the mid-60s and early-70s.

The new dual-snorkel hood is fully functional as it provides maximum air intake for the supercharged V8. Dodge hasn’t announced what other updates that the 2019 Challenger lineup will get, but there is a report that the 2019 Challenger SRT Hellcat will get some performance upgrades from the Demon, which is not returning for the 2019 model year.

The updates to the 2019 Challenger will likely be last that this generation will get, since a new Challenger is expected in 2021. Both the Dodge Challenger and Charger are reportedly going to share their platform with the Maserati Ghibli.
