Dodge has unveiled the 2019 Challenger R/T Scat Pack 1320, which is designed specifically for the drag strip, hence the “1320” part of its name (quarter mile is 1,320 feet).

The 2019 Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack 1320 is a drag-oriented, street legal version of the Challenger. While it would be nice to see the Hellcat engine underneath the hood, the Challenger R/T Scat Pack 1320 is powered by the 392 HEMI V8 with 485 horsepower and 475 lb.-ft. of torque. The V8 is mated an eight-speed automatic transmission with class-exclusive TransBrake. The V8 sends the power to the asphalt via Nexen SUR4G Drag Spec 275/40R20 street-legal drag radial tires.

Dodge says that the Challenger R/T Scat Pack 1320 can reach the quarter mile in 11.7 seconds at 115 miles per hour, which makes it the fastest naturally aspirated, street-legal muscle car available.

Some other upgrades include, an SRT-tuned Adaptive Damping Suspension with Drag Mode, Line Lock, Torque Reserve, extreme-duty 41-spline half shafts and a Brembo High-performance Brake Package.

Since the 2019 Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack 1320 is created for the drag strip, to reduce weight, the front passenger seat and rear seat are available as individual $1 options. Everyone will know that this Challenger is special, since it gets a new interpretation of the Dodge Super Bee logo, the “Angry Bee,” on the fenders, instrument panel and headlights.

The 2019 Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack 1320 Package adds $3,995 to the starting price of the Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack, which starts at $38,995. The mandatory automatic transmission adds $1,595 and the destination charge adds $1,395. The 2019 Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack 1320 will arrive in the first quarter of 2019.
