Hyundai has announced the pricing for the 2018 Hyundai Sonata Plug-in Hybrid, which starts at $34,135 with the destination fees. That starting price for the 2018 Sonata Plug-in Hybrid is $1,350 lower than the 2017 model.

The 2018 Hyundai Sonata Plug-in Hybrid not only gets a lower starting price for the new model year, but also gets a refreshed exterior with updated front and rear fascias. The Sonata Plug-in Hybrid is offered in base and Limited trim levels, with the top Limited model getting new features, like Automatic Emergency Braking with pedestrian detection, LED Headlights, Lane Keep Assist, a heated steering wheel and a wireless charging pad for your phone.

The Sonata Plug-in Hybrid is powered by a 2.0L four-cylinder engine that’s mated to a 67 horsepower electric motor and a six-speed automatic transmission.

The Sonata Plug-in Hybrid can travel up to 28 miles in electric mode and once the battery is drained it can continue to travel up to 572 miles in hybrid mode. The EPA has rated the Sonata Plug-in Hybrid at a combined 99 MPGe when it’s in EV mode and 39 mpg in hybrid mode. Recharging the Sonata Plug-in Hybrid on a 240-volt charger will take two hours and 42 minutes.
