To show off its available crate engines, Chevy is bringing them to the SEMA in Las Vegas at the end of the month. Rather than just show off the crate engines, Chevy decided to put them under the hood of some of its iconic models from the past.

To start, the Corvette ZR1’s supercharged LT5 6.2L V8 is now available as a crate engine. At the SEMA Show, the 6.2L V8 has been wedged under the hood of a 1973 Chevy Chevelle Laguna. In addition to adding the Corvette ZR1’s V8, the one-off Chevelle also gets a unique hood that’s similar to the Corvette ZR1’s hood. It also gets front and rear spoilers that are inspired by the NASCAR race cars from the 1970s. Lastly it rides on a modified suspension and 18-inch wheels.

A classic 1967 Chevy C/10 pickup is also headed to SEMA with a 420-hp ZZ6 5.7L V-8 crate engine and a 1978 K10 Silverado will be shown off with a 360-hp L96 6.0L V-8 crate engine.
