The Chevy Malibu is the last sedan in Chevy’s lineup and with the brand continuing to focus on SUVs and trucks, we’ve been wondering how much longer the Malibu would stick around. Well it’s time is up, since General Motors has announced that production of the Chevy Malibu will end in November.

2024 Chevrolet Malibu

“To facilitate the installation of tooling and other plant modifications, after nine-generations and over 10 million global sales, GM will end production of the Chevrolet Malibu in November 2024,” a GM spokesperson stated to The Detroit News.

After production of the Malibu ends at GM’s Fairfax Assembly in Kansas, the plant will be retooled build the next-generation Chevy Bolt EV. Now that the Malibu is done, that leaves only one car in Chevy’s lineup, the Corvette.
