Cadillac’s first electric vehicle the Lyriq is not going to arrive until 2022, but on Monday GM Vice President of Sales and Marketing Mahmoud Samara shared a photo of a prototype on LinkedIn. The preproduction prototype is covered in camouflage, but we can still get a pretty good look at it. So far we’ve only seen the Lyriq as a concept.

Cadillac is testing the Lyriq on the streets in Michigan. We’re hoping that the production version isn’t going to lose too much of the concept’s styling. When it does arrive, the Lyriq will be the first GM production vehicle to use its new Ultium battery technology.

GM says that the Lyriq will have a driving range of at 300 miles. It will rival models, like the Audi e-tron, BMW iX and, the Tesla Model X.
