On Thursday, Cadillac gave us a preview of its electrified future with the debut of the 2023 Cadillac Lyriq electric crossover. The Lyriq is expected to go into production until late 2022, but if you’re wondering how much it will cost, we have an answer.

GM North America President Steve Carlisle recently confirmed with WardsAuto, that the pricing for the 2023 Cadillac Lyriq will start below $75,000. That means the Lyriq will be aimed squarely at other midsize electric crossovers, like the Audi e-tron, Jaguar I-Pace, and the Tesla Model X.

Carlisle also stated that the Lyriq has to appeal to buyers that are shopping for internal-combustion and electric vehicles, “It needs to be at a price point they are familiar with.”

The Lyriq will have a driving range around 300 miles and also arrives with new tech features, like a 33-inch curved dashboard display and a dual-pane head-up display with augmented reality.
