Cadillac has released the first teaser of its next electric car, the Celestiq sedan. The Celestiq is will be powered by GM’s be based on GM’s modular Ultium battery platform, just like the upcoming Lyriq electric SUV.
We can see from the teasers that the Celestiq will feature many of the same styling cues as the Lyriq. Cadillac says that it will have a “dramatic presence, a low profile and rearward proportions.”
It will also feature all-wheel drive, four-wheel steering and a full-glass roof. The roof features a unique four-quadrant, suspended-particle-device smart glass. Thanks to the smart glass, each occupant can set their own level of roof transparency.
Additionally in front of the driver and front passenger there’s a pillar-to-pillar freeform display and in the rear there’s personalized entertainment screens. In between the seats in the front and back there are console screens to let each passenger set their own comfort settings.
