Buick is using the all-new 2018 Buick Enclave SUV to introduce its new luxurious Avenir sub-brand. The Avenir sub-brand is meant to stand for the highest expression of Buick style and luxury.
The 2018 Enclave now looks more sculpted and athletic than the outgoing model with its lower roofline, longer wheelbase and sharper windshield. The overall styling borrows many styling cues from the rest of Buick’s newest models, like the new LaCrosse and last year’s Avista concept.

The all-new Enclave continues to fit up to seven passengers and offers more total cargo room than the Acura MDX, Audi Q7 and Infiniti QX60. The 2018 Enclave now has 10 percent more cubic feet of overall interior space and 23.6 cubic feet of cargo space behind the third row. There’s also a new 10-inch-deep dry underfloor storage with 3.1 cubic feet of space.
The 2018 Enclave will be powered by a 3.6L V6 with 302 horsepower and 260 lb-ft. of torque. The V6 is mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission and can send its power to the ground via either just the front or all the wheels. The front-wheel drive version is rated at 17/25 mpg, while the all-wheel drive model is rated at 17/24 mpg. The front-wheel drive version can reach 60 mph in 7.2 seconds, while the all-wheel drive version is a little slower at 7.5 seconds.
If you choose the factory-installed towing package you can tow up to 5,000 pounds.
The Avenir model features an exclusive mesh grille with chrome wings, 20-inch wheels, an Avenir Chestnut and Ebony interior, embroidered first-row headrests, a wood-accented steering wheel and Avenir-scripted sill plates.
The Enclave Avenir comes standard with heated and ventilated front seats, heated second-row seats, navigation, wireless charging, a dual moonroof, an 8-inch display, a 360-degree surround vision camera system and a rear camera mirror that can function as a traditional mirror or as a camera.
