BMW just opened the world’s first BMW i Store on London’s Park Lane, in which BMW brought an updated i3 concept as well as a new i Pedelec concept electric bicycle.
The updated BMW i3 electric concept car gets new interior materials that focus on renewable raw materials, like leather that is stained with the help of olive leaves and wood pieces that come from eucalyptus trees. The i3 will go on sale at the end of 2013 and according to Ian Robertson, it will be priced “very competitively for the substance you get.”
The i Pedelec concept electric bicycle is meant to complement the i3 as it folds down and fits in the i3’s trunk. It has an electric motor that is able to power the bike up to 16 mph and has a range of 16-25 miles.
