BMW’s biggest news today was the debut of the 2019 BMW i8 Roadster, but if an electrified sports car doesn’t do it for you, BMW also announced the pricing for the 2018 M5. The 2018 BMW M5 goes on sale in the spring and starts at $103,595.
BMW says that the sixth generation BMW M5 is the fastest and most technologically advanced M-vehicle to date. It’s powered by a 4.4L twin-turbocharged V8 that generates 600 horsepower and 553 lb-ft. of torque. The V8 is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission and drivers can choose on the fly if they want to send the power to just the rear wheels or all four thanks to the M xDrive system.
The 2018 BMW M5 reaches 60 mph in only 3.2 seconds.
