With a total 313 horsepower on tap, the X5 eDrive40e is powered by a 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder that is mated to an electric motor. It can reach 62 mph in 6.8 seconds and has the ability to travel up to 19 miles in electric mode. It’s also rated at 83.1-85.6 mpg on the EU cycle.
The good news is that the battery has been placed under the trunk space, so there aren’t any large penalties to the cargo space.
