BMW is reportedly working on another smaller SUV that will be based off the new X3, but will have styling similar to the larger X6. The BMW X4 will basically be a smaller version of the successful X6 when it arrives in 2014. According to insiders who have seen the design proposals the X4 will feature a coupe-style roofline and angled tailgate much like its larger sibling.
If the X4 is given the green light it will share its platform and engines with the X3.
