BMW has already announced the 2012 650i Convertible and Coupe models. It was originally believed that the only version available would be the twin-turbo V8 powered 650i model, but Autoblog has learned that BMW plans on releasing a less expensive 640i model.
For those buyers that can’t quite afford the entry price for the 650i or that don’t need a V8 under the hood, BMW is going to offer the 640i, which is powered by BMW’s turbocharged 3.0L six-cylinder engine. The 640i will be able by the end of the year. It’s also being reported that BMW is going to release an all-wheel-drive version of the 650i.
