According to a source that leaked the news to Bimmerpost, the approval for the i8 Spyder came last Friday. The i8 Spyder will share the i8’s 362 horsepower plug-in hybrid system and will continue to look close to the concept version, with a few of the production updates from the i8 coupe.
The 2015 i8 Coupe has a starting price set at $135,925 and according to BMW the first year’s production is already sold out.
