BMW is going to give us a preview of the upcoming 8 Series with the debut of the 8 Series concept this weekend at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, but the first photos have leaked early. While the 8 Series concept is technically labeled as a concept, it’s expected to not be too far off from the production version, which is going to arrive next year.
Now that the 6 Series Coupe is officially dead, BMW fans won’t have to wait too long to get a new large coupe when the 8 Series arrives. Since these are leaked photos, they aren’t the best quality, but they give us a good early look at the 8 Series concept.

The front of the 8 Series features a large twin-kidney grille, slender headlights and a long hood. The rear features a short rear deck and is finished off with an aggressive rear bumper and dual exhaust. Overall the 8 Series concept should satisfy 6 Series fans, but also appeal to 8 Series fans with its more aggressive and sexier lines.
We still have yet to hear any official details about the new 8 Series, but it’s expected to be based on the same CLAR platform as the 5- and 7 Series. The good news is that an M8 version is also planned, since BMW recently trademarked the name.
Stay tuned for all the details about the 8 Series concept tomorrow.
