Bentley is quickly approaching its centenary in 2019 and to celebrate the milestone, Bentley has unveiled the limited-edition Bentley Mulsanne W.O. Edition. The special Mulsanne pays tribute to the Bentley’s founding father and incorporates parts of the original crankshaft taken from W.O. Bentley’s personal 8 Liter car.
The Bentley Mulsanne W.O. Edition features a vintage inspired color split interior cut from Heritage Hide, Beluga black wheels, and a one-of-a-kind cocktail cabinet or bottle cooler featuring a slice of W.O.’s own 8 Liter crankshaft set into the armrest.
In addition to the piece of the original crankshaft, the styling of the Mulsanne W.O. Edition by Mulliner is inspired by the 8 Liter and the style of the 1930s. The interior features a marquetry scene on the handcrafted unit – depicting the geometric front matrix grille and headlight of the 8 Liter. To create the marquetry scene Bentley used four different wood types. Aluminum is used to achieve the highlights, signature and geometric pattern, while diamond-like borders run parallel to each side. The piece is finished with W.O.’s signature.
The Mulsanne W.O. Edition is finished with Fireglow lambswool rugs, glass tumblers, privacy curtains to the rear doors, and a rear seat entertainment system.
On the outside the Mulsanne W.O. Edition features a W.O. Bentley signature badge on the lower bumper, while special centenary badging has been added to the wheel centers and door tread plates.
Bentley will only build 100 Bentley Mulsanne W.O. Edition models.
