While Audi’s recent concepts, like the Aicon have focused on autonomous driving tech, Audi hasn’t forgotten about the fun that you can have behind the wheel. Audi’s newest concept, the PB18 e-tron concept doesn’t care at all about autonomous driving and instead it’s designed for the track.

Even if the the Audi PB18 e-tron concept doesn’t care about autonomous driving, it’s still looking to the future with its fully electric powertrain that consists of three electric motors – one up front and two in the rear. The three electric motors generate a combined 671 horsepower and 612 lb-ft. of torque. An overboost function pumps up the horsepower temporarily to 764 horsepower. Audi says that the PB18 e-tron concept can reach 62 mph in just over 2 seconds.

Even with that much power, the PB18 e-tron concept has a driving range over 310 miles on the European WLTP cycle. The battery also can be fully recharged in only 15 minutes thanks to its 800-volt charging capability. The Audi PB18 e-tron can also be charged wirelessly.

Besides the impressive electric powertrain and its specs, the Audi PB18 e-tron concept is also a stunning concept that makes the R8 look boring and dated. At the front its aggressive face is similar to some of Audi’s latest concepts, but the rear is where things get more exciting. The concept’s long, flat roof flows back to a tall rear windshield that gives the concept the shape of a shooting brake.
