Audi is close to releasing its Tesla Model S rival and we just got a preview with the debut of the e-tron GT concept at the LA Auto Show. On the outside it looks like a more aggressive Audi A7, but under the skin its expected that the concept shares its parts with the Porsche Taycan, which is a good thing.
The Audi e-tron GT has a 248 mile driving range and it will be able to outrun most sports cars with 590 horsepower on tap. The e-tron GT concept can also reach 60 mph in 3.5 seconds with a top speed of 149 mph. The concept is powered by a 90 kWh lithium-ion battery pack and its capable of 800-volt charging.
Inside there’s room for four passengers and 15.9 cubic feet of space in the back for your stuff. There’s also a second trunk in the front with 3.5 cubic feet of space.
Audi’s first priority is getting e-tron production ramped up, which will then be followed by the e-tron Sportback. The e-tron GT will arrive by the end of 2020.
