Audi Sport has unveiled a new limited edition version of the Audi R8 V10 Plus coupe, which will be extremely rare, since Audi only plans to build 44 examples.
The limited edition Audi R8 V10 Plus coupe features a new carbon fiber aero kit that not only gives the R8 an edgier look, but also adds large rear wing and diffuser. While the styling updates are welcome, the big benefit of the aero kit is that it adds a significant increase in downforce.
At 205 mph, the limited edition Audi R8 V10 plus coupe R8 generates 551 lbs of downforce compared to the 220 lbs that the standard R8 V10 plus coupe generates.
The limited edition R8 V10 plus coupe also gets unique side skirts, bigger air inlets, 20-inch alloy wheels and ceramic brakes. The interior gets Nappa leather wrapped seats, MMI navigation, Audi connect online services and the Audi Virtual Cockpit.
For now Audi has announced that just 5 of the 44 examples will be offered in the UK, with pricing starting at £176,560. Audi has not announced the pricing for other markets.
