Even though Aston Martin just introduced the gorgeous DBS Superleggera a new report claims that Aston Martin is working on an even better version – the DBS Superleggera AMR. An Aston Martin exec officially confirmed the AMR version of the DBS Superleggera at the launch of the DBS Superleggera.

Speaking to Australia’s Motoring, a senior Aston Martin exec stated, “We produced an AMR version of the previous Vantage and have an AMR Rapide and DB11, so it’s safe to assume a DBS Superleggera is coming.”

The more hardcore DBS Superleggera AMR will not only get more power under the hood, but its suspension will be reworked and it will drop a few pounds thanks to the use of carbon fiber for the seats, steering wheel, exhaust tips and hood.

Aston Martin hasn’t revealed how much extra power the DBS Superleggera AMR will have, but the exec revealed that the DBS Superleggera’s V12 can generate up to 750 horsepower, which is a decent upgrade over the current 715 horsepower. “Any more than that would need significant reworking of the V12’s internals.”

It hasn’t been revealed when the Aston Martin DBS Superleggera AMR will arrive.
